Today Mommy and Daddy had to measure my paws.
They said it was to help protect me—because sometimes the road by our house gets messy from delivery trucks. And today, Mommy found glass all over the part of the road where we usually walk.
She wouldn’t let me walk there. I wasn’t very happy about that.
I really wanted to go see my friend Emma’s dogs. They greet us in the window every time we walk by. I love saying hi to them. But since there was glass, Mommy said no. She wouldn’t let me go near it.
I was sad. But then she brought me inside, and she and Daddy—and Mommy’s worker—measured my paws so they could order me some boots.
Daddy said they should be on their way soon. That means I’ll be well protected, especially when the snow comes.
They take such good care of me. I love them so much. I want to do everything I can to make them proud.
Now I can’t wait for snow. Mommy and Daddy say it’s fun. I believe them.
